We are thrilled, overjoyed and a tiny bit giddy to announce that Crafting Connections’ ambassador is none other than the wonderful Nick Sharratt.
Nick has illustrated over three hundred children’s books in a career which has seen him work with hugely popular writers such as Julia Donaldson, Michael Rosen, Kes Gray and Dame Jacqueline Wilson. He also writes his own books, several of which have won top prizes. His books have been translated into many languages and ‘Shark in the Park’ and ‘You Choose’ have been turned into successful stage shows. He has been the official World Book Day illustrator and he’s also the proud owner of a gold Blue Peter badge!
Nick says, “I’m truly delighted to be Crafting Connections’ ambassador. Creating art has so many benefits, whatever your age – from enhancing imaginative thinking and improving coordination skills to boosting your mood – and I love that this project has such a worthwhile purpose at its heart. I can really imagine the joy that both the children and the older people will experience when they open their friends’ pictures each month – what a wonderful thing to be part of”.
